LONDON

Before starting my internships and experiences abroad, I wanted to prepare for the TOEFL (an English level exam) by going to work one summer in London. Not finding jobs remotely, or during the brief weekend I spent there, I called on an agency that helps foreign students find internships and summer jobs. Not very conclusive, I find the city beautiful and pleasant to visit but I did not enjoy life there too much.

The food being expensive and not of very good quality, public transport very expensive and Londoners not particularly pleasant, I spent 2 months there then I gave up everything to join my sister in Sweden, who was pregnant at this time, to help her.

My recommendations :

- Take a walk in Notting Hill and do the Portobello market.

- Take a sunset walk on the banks of the Thames then stop at Tamesis Dock, a bar-boat for an aperitif.

- Take to the skies with the London Eye of London (it is better to book your skip-the-line ticket).

BRISTOL

With my student association, we aimed to sail from Bordeaux to Bristol in order to organize an auction of Bordeaux wines that we had collected in the Bordeaux châteaux. For this occasion, we made the Bordeaux-Bristol sailing trip twice and then spent the week in this wonderful English city.

Big fan of the Skins series, which takes place in the same city, the atmosphere is very simple and pleasant. There are not many large buildings to visit but it is easy to enjoy it and even more so when you are a student.

My recommendations:

- Fill your stomach with the world's cooking at ZAZA BAZAR .

- Relive one of the cult scenes from Skins on one of the benches of the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

- Relax during the day or have a picnic in Castle-Park.
